# Kardow: job board software for publishers and newsletters

Add a jobs section your readers use and the businesses already advertising
with you pay to post on. Filled with relevant jobs from day one, built to rank
on Google and in AI search, and Kardow takes 0% of your job sales.

Kardow is job board software for publishers and newsletters: news sites, local
newsletters and niche media. It is used by Telegrafi, PeopleOps Jobs, Wichita
Life, Orlando Signal, Waco Buzz and Calder News.

You describe the board you want, Kardow builds it, and you can ask it to
change anything later. Every board is its own
application rather than a theme, so there is no settings panel to run out of.

- Pricing: from $79/month. Starter $79, Pro $179, Scale $379.
- Trial: 14 days, card required, nothing charged until it ends.
- Platform fee on your revenue: 0%, on every plan.
- Setup fee: none. The launch service is optional: included free on Pro and
Scale, and $299 one-time on Starter.
- Unlimited jobs, job seekers and employer accounts on every plan. Kardow never
charges more as a board's audience grows. Import credits are the only metered
resource, because each imported job costs real compute to fetch and publish.
One credit is one imported job, so 2,000 credits a month is up to
2,000 listings pulled in that month. Jobs posted by the owner or by
  employers are never metered.

## What comes with a board

**Never launch empty.** Kardow imports listings from public careers sites and
job feeds every day, filtered to your industry, keywords and locations, so a
board has jobs on it before its owner sells a single post. Over 100 countries,
any language.

**Get paid.** Charge per job post, sell bundles, run monthly employer
subscriptions, or put listings behind a paywall. Take card payments through
Stripe, or send an invoice or your own payment link. The money goes straight to
the board owner.

**Found on Google and in AI search.** Listings ship with Google for Jobs
markup, a sitemap and a page for every location and category. Pages are rendered
on the server, so ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity read the jobs rather than an
empty shell. Real-time analytics are built in and store no personal data, so a
Kardow board needs no cookie banner. Measured results against other platforms:

**Make it yours.** Your domain, your colours, your logo, your fields. Ask for
any change in plain language and it happens, from a new section to a full
redesign. A board can run on its own domain, on a subdomain, or on a subpath of
an existing site such as yoursite.com/jobs. The subpath option is the one most
publishers want and the one no other platform in this category offers: a
subpath keeps the board on the main domain, so its search authority stays with
the publisher, whereas a subdomain is a separate site to Google.

**Employers and candidates.** Both sides get their own account. Employers
manage listings and review applicants. Candidates keep a profile, upload a
resume and track applications.

**Post and manage jobs.** Add jobs yourself, let employers post their own, or
import them in bulk. Approve anything before it goes live, and let listings
expire on their own.

Also included: connect your own domain, send email from your domain, blog and
custom pages, company profile pages, job alerts and newsletter, saved jobs and
candidate profiles, custom fields on any form, screening questions, Google and
passwordless login, multiple languages, REST API and webhooks, Zapier
integration.

## Moving an existing board to Kardow

Boards already running on another platform can be moved. Jobs are imported from
a spreadsheet with column mapping, or by connecting an XML or RSS feed that is
then kept in sync on a schedule. Companies import from a spreadsheet. Job
seekers and employers import from CSV, TSV or JSON with their original signup
dates, roles, custom profile fields, job alert preferences and language, and
any resume URL given is downloaded, stored, parsed and indexed. The importer
understands the export vocabulary of other platforms, Niceboard's included.

There are no passwords to move: members sign in with a one-time code sent to
their email, so they simply sign in on the new board. Employers on a
subscription can keep paying through a custom payment link, or subscribe again
through the new board's checkout. Old URLs are not redirected, so the new board
is indexed fresh rather than inheriting the old pages. Kardow verifies the board
in Google Search Console, submits its sitemap and pushes new job URLs to
Google's Indexing API, with no Google account needed from the customer.

Kardow helps with the move on every plan.

## The AI editor

Ask for a change in plain language and Kardow writes it into the board. New
sections, different colours, extra filters, a different layout. On Pro and
Scale the owner can also download the code and edit it locally with the Kardow
CLI, then deploy it back.

## AI assistants

Kardow runs a hosted MCP server at mcp.kardow.com. Connect it to Claude or to
ChatGPT as a custom connector and manage a board by asking: post a job from a
URL, approve pending listings, publish a blog post, upload an image, or ask how
the board performed last month. See https://kardow.com/mcp.

## How it compares

Template platforms (Niceboard, Job Boardly, JBoard) cost $40 to $400 a month
and give you their board with your logo on it, limited to the fields their
settings panel offers.

A custom build from an agency costs $30,000 or more and takes two to four
months, but gives you exactly what you need. Hosting and security become your
responsibility.

Kardow costs $79 to $379 a month, is live the same day, gives a board shaped
around how you work with any field or flow you need, ships changes the day you
ask for them, and lets you download the code whenever you want. Hosting,
updates and security are handled.

## Things that are commonly misunderstood

- Kardow is software for running your own job board. It is not a job board and
does not send candidates or traffic to your board.
- "Connect your own domain" means you bring a domain you already own or buy
elsewhere. Kardow does not sell domains.
- Imported jobs come from public careers sites and job feeds, not from a Kardow
  jobs database.
- The 14-day trial requires a card. Nothing is charged until the trial ends.

## Documentation

Every documentation page also exists as markdown at the same path with a .md
suffix, and the docs site publishes its own machine-readable indexes. Use these
