One job board, in every language your audience reads.
Turn on a second language and the whole board follows: the interface, the job posts, the URLs and the alert emails. Visitors switch with one click, and search engines index each language on its own.
From $79/month · 14-day free trial · No setup feesPick the languages. Kardow does the rest.
There is one board to run, not one per language. Jobs, employers and settings are shared, and every visitor sees them in their own language.
Turn a language on in one click.
Settings, Languages lists every language you can offer. Switch one on and the board gets a language picker, its own URLs for that language, and translations for every new job.- Your default language is always on
- Jobs already on the board translate with one button
- Safe to run again: it only fills what is missing
Every language is its own page.
The French jobs page is /fr/emplois and the German one is /de/stellenangebote, so a shared link keeps its language and Google can index each version. Your default language keeps the plain URLs it has today.- hreflang tags on every page, plus x-default
- Each language is canonical to itself
- A search in French still finds jobs written in English
Alert emails in the subscriber's language.
A subscriber whose browser is set to French gets French alerts, even from a board whose default is English, as long as the board offers French. They can change it on their preferences page at any time.- Headings, buttons, job types and links translated
- Falls back to the board's default language
- Your own alert wording is kept for your default language
Six languages, translated before you start.
Buttons, menus, forms, account pages and emails come translated. These are four of the strings, from each language pack as it ships.
What people ask about languages.
- Which languages can my board run in?
- The board itself, its menus, search, forms, account pages and job alert emails, ships translated into English, French, German, Spanish (Mexico), Portuguese (Brazil) and Albanian. Turn on as many as you need in Settings, Languages. Your default language is always on.
- Are the job posts translated as well?
- Yes, once two or more languages are on. Kardow detects the language a job is written in and translates its title, description and category into each of the others with AI when the job goes live, and again when one of those is edited. Jobs that were already on the board are translated with one button, Translate existing jobs.
- How does a visitor get their language?
- A language picker appears on the board as soon as it has two languages. On a first visit the board also follows the browser language, when the board offers it. Each language has its own address, so a link someone shares opens in the language they were reading.
- What does Google see?
- Each language is its own set of pages, like /fr/emplois for the French jobs page. Every page lists the other languages with hreflang tags and is canonical to itself, so the French pages can be indexed as French pages rather than dropped as copies of the English ones.
- Which language are job alert emails written in?
- The subscriber's. It is taken from their browser when they sign up, if your board offers that language, and they can change it on their alert preferences page. Without one, alerts go out in the board's default language.
- Is it on every plan?
- Yes. Languages, job translation and localized URLs are included on Starter, Pro and Scale.
